It was another long week. Mom went back into the hospital on Tuesday morning, with initial signs of a heart attack, but we learned her diagnosis was Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and once again, MRSA.
We hope she will be out of the hospital tomorrow. This caregiver is cross-eyed, and I've been resting all weekend. I'm praying for a quiet week.
Take care,
Terre

I am very sorry this is happening to you. I know all too well how hard it is to care for loved ones. We took care of my mother a stroke victim and my father (brain cancer) at the same time. We lost my father 3 years ago, but we are still caring for our mother. Lucky for us there are 4 of us who take turns. We have someone come in all week, and on weekends it is the kids. My mom can not walk at all. She is in really rough shape with diabetes, CHF, and emphiza (sp?) because she smoked for more than 40 years. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. However I am very glad we still have our mother. Mother how ever is 'ready to go' as she calls it. She is ready to go be with my dad. They were married 52 years. Roxie
Hi Roxie,
Thanks for leaving your comment, and my apology for not responding to you sooner.
I hope your mother is feeling well at this time.
My mother is doing better and hasn't been back to the hospital since May. She is finally getting excellent nursing care at her assisted living facility.
Although Mom has Alzheimer's, she has been "in her right mind" since the last hospital stay. Some days are a blessing, and others, I'm pulling my hair out!
Take care, Terre
